Begin to Study Medicine in Cuba Students of Solomon Islands
The last week the Solomon Islands government sent a first group of 25 medical students to Cuba to study on full scholarships.

Authorities from that Pacific Ocean nation reminded that their Foreign Minister Patterson Oti inked a cooperation agreement last year during a visit to Havana.

The press released states that Trevor Unusu, in charge of the Americas and UN policy at the Solomon Islands Foreign Affairs Ministry, led the student group to the island.

Unusu highlighted before leaving that these young people are expected to study medicine under an integral program, financed by the Cuban government as a gesture of solidarity with developing countries.

He stated another 25 students from his county will travel for the same purpose in July, and said that Cuba is currently the world leader in terms of access to medical care.
