Puerto Rican singers Andy Montañez, Jacqueline Capo and Chucho Avellanet arrived in Varadero last Thursday to participate in what they called a Puerto Rican bohemian night at the World Music Festival Varadero 2008.
They perform at the Festival Square in Varadero, 87 miles east from Havana, the main scene of this event featuring artists from 10 countries.
"To be here, involved in this effort to resume the Varadero festivals is a reason for delight," said Montanez, a view shared by Capo and Avellanet, both on their first visit to Cuba.
"I am very happy and made the commitment to take part in CUBADISCO 2009, which will be devoted to Puerto Rico," said Avellanet.
