The first priorities for the coming school year, will be the attention, stimulation, and the training to the teaching staff, stated the Cuban Minister of Education, Dr. Ena Elsa Velazquez Coviella, in recent visit to this province.

The Minister shows interest in elevating the prestige and the social recognition of the educators by means of the training in the content and the quality of the pedagogic speech, of wide influence in all the teaching levels.
During her stay in the city, Velazquez Coviella participated in the recognition to one hundred educators who receve prizes for their outstanging work, such as the Special Prize of the Ministry of Education, the Order Frank Pais Garcia, maximum reward granted by the Cuban Workers Federation of the Education, of the Culture and of the Sport.
The Minister of Education felt satisfaction with the achievements of the province in the different teaching levels and with the prioritized actions to strengthen the ideological political work, as well as with the diffusion of the work of Jose Marti, Cuba's National Hero.
Doctor Ena Elsa also participated in the reinauguration of the day care Jose Mastrapa Melero, with capacity for 172 children from one to six years old.
