Over 900 heath professional will receive their graduate diplomas from the Medical Science Faculty in this city, among them the first 366 health technology specialists.

Victor Junco, dean of this Higher Education Center, told ACN that on August 2nd a graduation of doctors, stomatologists, nurses and other professionals of this field will take place in Cuba and that the Matanzas Faculty will be adding 134 doctors.
This first graduation of health technology specialists in the territory will contribute to the development and improvement of medical services in clinics, hospitals, laboratories, rehabilitation centers and other medical facilities, thus improving the quality of life of the people.
Health Technology studies began in Cuba five years ago with a new pedagogical model and along with the traditional studies like medicine, nursing and stomatology it integrates the group of medical specialities to be studied in medical universities in the country.
Junco also stated that the Matanzas Medical Science Faculty will graduate 52 foreign students, 40 of them as part of the ALBA programs and the rest belonging to different countries that have cooperation agreements with Cuba.
