Works benefited the amusement park, the zoo, the Baconao Aquarium and the Sigua Complex. Children can visit the World of Fantasy.

The Nao Cavern, the restaurants Los Corales (specialized in Cuban cuisine), and Los Robalos and La Jaiba Azul (specialized in seafood and located by the lagoon) were reopened.
Baconao's tourist offers are complemented by museums, the ruins of French-Haitian coffee farms, botanic and cactus gardens, the Promenade of Sculptures and dive sites.
