The Boyaca, Colombia, International Culture Festival opened on Wednesday with the inauguration of painting exhibits by Cuban painters Alicia Leal and Hander Lara, and a reading by poet Pablo Armando Fernandez, as part of activities dedicated to Cuba.
Among the options in the program, running until August 9, are the screening of Cuban films, dance performances and the staging of theater plays by the island's troop Retazos.
A report by the Cuban Foreign Minister posted on its website says the opening address was delivered by the governor of the Department of Boyaca, Jose Rozo Millan.
The commercial and economic attaché of the Cuban embassy to Colombia, Angel Bernal Torres, also spoke at the inauguration of the event.
