A new book on the life and work of Cuban writer Jose Lezama Lima

A book on the life and work of Cuban writer Jose Lezama Lima (1910-1976) will hit the shelves Saturday, released by the Letras Cubanas publishers in commemoration of his death on August 9.

Lezama Lima
Entitled Lezama without Permission, the volume by essayist Reynaldo Gonzalez (National Literature Award 2003) gathers selections of texts on the links of the author of Death of Narciso with other authors.

Born in this capital he founded the review Origenes where he published the first five chapters of his novel, Paradiso, considered by specialists as his masterpiece.

The public will also be able to acquire a re-edition of My Correspondence with Lezama Lima by Jose Rodriguez Feo.

These two books will be presented in a book fair Saturday organized by the Cuban Institute of Books at its headquarters, Palacio del Segundo Cabo, in Old Havana
