Cuba graduated on Monday 641 Chinese students from the third intensive Spanish Language course.

The official graduation ceremony was attended by Chinese ambassador to Havana Zhao Rongxian, who thanked the Cuban people and government for the hospitality offered to the Asian students.

He said that 441 of the high school graduates will continue university studies in Cuba; 265 in Spanish Language, 123 in Medicine, 7 in Nursing, 12 in Pedagogical Social Sciences, 9 in Pedagogical Psychology, and 25 in Tourism.

Some 1,435 Chinese students have graduated in similar courses and there are 1,119 currently studying in the Island.

The ceremony was attended by Cuban Minister of Higher Education Juan Vela and Minister of the Interior Ricardo Cabrisas, among other high-rank officials.
