Argentinean Guitarist Amestro Victor Pellegrini Tours Cuba East to West
Pellegrini has dedicated these presentations to the 50 years of the Cuban Revolution.

Well-known in Cuba since the 80s when he won the first prize at the Havana International Guitar Festival, Pellegrini arrived in Cuba to get reunited with the Cuban public.

The Cuban Institute of Music’s officials, who arranged the presentations, told ACN news agency that the famous concert player, currently teaching at Las Rosas Conservatory in Morelia, Mexico, will play at the Dolores Theater in eastern Santiago de Cuba on Saturday, Sunday in the Bayamo Theater and on the 19th he will be in Manzanillo.

The first part of the announced program include works from F. Moreno Torroba, Ponce and Albniz, and the second is almost completely dedicated to outstanding compositions by renowned Cuban Leo Brower, to close with Venezuelan Waltzes and Tango by Astor Piazzola and Brower.

Pellegrini has won several prizes in contests in Cuba, Mexico, Brazil and twice third places in the Segovia International Guitar Competition, Spain, besides having recorded numerous discs, including two in Cuba, where he worked a long time as a professor. The artist, who Leo Brower dubbed a true virtuoso of the instrument, has directed guitar festivals in Mexico, and has acted as juror in events in several nations.
