The head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Dr. Mohamed El Baradei, arrived in Cuba on Sunday for an official visit
El Baradei will hold talks with Cuban authorities to speak about bilateral technical cooperation and to discuss the current state of relations between the IAEA and the Caribbean archipelago.
According to Granma news daily, he will also visit places of scientific interest.
The visit is part of El Baradei´s tour of Latin American countries, which also includes Ecuador, Venezuela and Bolivia.
El Baradei, who will step down in November after heading the IAEA for 12 years, last visited Cuba in October 1999.
