Yang disclosed the government stance in a meeting at the United Nations in New York with representatives of the 23-member Rio Group, who told him about the preparations for the CELAC official presentation in December, the media reported Saturday.

Yang hoped CELAC will back the One-China policy and also noted the swift development of bilateral relations in the recent years.

According to Chilean Foreign Minister Alfredo Moreno, whose country presides over the Rio Group, the regional bloc is willing to broaden relations with China, fully develop economic cooperation and support the One-China policy.
