Since last year December 22 the company Trans-Metro under the Ministry of Transport introduced a new model of articulated buses to support the route Santiago de Las Vegas- Vedado in Havana.

The new metro-bus express character serves on weekdays during peak hours and its translation makes a total of 17 stops from Santiago to 25th Street and Avenue of the Presidents in Vedado, and 18 when back .

The bus has two joints (existing have one), air conditioning and has a cost of 1 CUP per person. The state initiative is part of an experiment that will last six months, if positive results, the country will import ten buses from Holland to distribute to other routes of Havana.
