Leading figures from the National Ballet of Cuba (BNC) will act in different companies around the world, completing invitations that put up the prestige of the Cuban ballet school and company who runs Alicia Alonso.

A note released by the Department BNC Press reports that Viengsay Valdes and Victor Estevez assume the roles of Kitri and Basilio in Don Quixote ballet season, presenting the Ballet Concierto de Puerto Rico, in the Centro de Bellas Artes San Juan, from 20 to 22 March.

Also, the Pennsylvania Ballet in the celebrations for the 51 anniversary of its creation, invited the dancer Arian Molina to play the title of Swan Lake, acting scheduled five to 16 March.

Moreover, the young dancer Grettel Morejon will be the guest artist of the company Sofia Festival Ballet, on a tour conducted by Italy, which will be presented with The Sleeping Beauty, from 23 to 29 March in the Theatre Vincenzo Bellini in Catania

The National Academy of Ballet emerged on June 30, 1931 as National Ballet School of the Society for Musical Arts, which was the starting point for teaching this art in Cuba.

This school scored memorable milestones in the history of ballet, because there figures for the development of dance in Cuba as Alicia, Fernando and Alberto Alonso were formed.
