Cuba and Vietnam reaffirmed on Wednesday in this capital their willingness to strengthen and boost bilateral relations, which began over 55 years ago and are currently described by both parties as “special and strategic.”
For the two countries, working together for the development of economic ties is an essential objective, asserted Rodrigo Malmierca, Cuban Minister of Foreign Trade and Investment, in a seminar carried out on the occasion of the official visit to the island of Nguyen Chi Dung, Vietnamese Minister of Planning and Investment. 
In the presence of a delegation composed of entrepreneurs interested in business opportunities opened in Cuba, the Cuban official highlighted that this meeting will be a new scene to identify mutually beneficial projects, in pursue of consolidating bonds. 
He commented that at present there are different proposals of negotiations between Cuban and Vietnamese companies, which will contribute to the development of industry and renewable energy, sectors prioritized by national economy.
Chi Dung praised the legal system created on the island to promote foreign investment, which established important conditions for Vietnamese entrepreneurs in the achievement of successful projects.
