Ciego de Ávila Liquors and Beverages Company (EMBER) put into production a new line of refined rum, gold and silver dry, with the brand name La Palma, that will hit the shelves throughout Cuba next May.
Juan Carlos Poveda López, director of the entity, which has a branch in Sancti Spíritus, reported exclusively to the Cuban News Agency, that La Palma will also come out with a new image without losing its identity.
The decision of the change is due to the fact that the previous rum with the same name lost its levels of acceptance by the customers, forcing the factory to stop production until they got rid of the bottles already in the markets. The plan is to produce 4,000 9-liter cases a month. (acn)
