Cuba places fifth at Para-Pan American Games
Cuban athletes won three titles and two silver medals on Wednesday during the third day of competitions of the 3rd Para-Pan American Games that are underway in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and in the process remained in the fifth spot of the general medal standings.

Experts seek reasons for Polymita drop in eastern Cuba
A noticeable decrease in the population of polymita muscarum, a species endemic to areas in the north coast of the island, has alarmed experts in the central province of Camaguey where a thorough research has therefore started.
