Ricardo Cabrisas, a senior minister of the Cuban government, is making an official visit to Belize to attend celebrations for the 25th Anniversary of the Independence of the sister Caribbean and Central American nation, reported Granma newspaper on Friday.

Minister Cabrisas and the delegation that is traveling with him were met at the Belize International Airport by the Honorable Earnon Courtenay, Belizean Minister of International Relations and Commerce, Amalia Mai, first deputy minister of International Relations and Commerce, and Eugenio Martinez the Cuban ambassador in Belize.

After the welcome ceremony, Minister Cabrisas held meetings with the leaders of the Cuban Medical Brigade, and was received in an audience by Prime Minister Said Musa, who was recently in Havana to participate in the 14th Summit of the Non Aligned Movement. Cabrisas also met with other government
cabinet officials, including deputy Prime Minister Jose Briceno, and Minister of the Interior Ralph Fonseca.

The Cuban official also attended activities organized by the Governor General and Prime Minister Said Musa with other dignitaries and the diplomatic corps to celebrate the important anniversary.
