Cuba presented a wide variety of travel options at the Moscow Travel Fair (Obdij) taking place at the Krokus Expo.

In a 50-square meter stand, hotel groups established in the island like Spanish Sol Melia, Iberostar, NH Hotels, Occidental Hotels and local Havanatur, Gran Caribe, Cubatur, Cubanacan, Habaguanex, Gaviota, Sol y Son, Paradiso, Testar (Varadero) and the Ministry of Tourism promote their products.

The Cuban Ministry of Tourism will make a presentation for the first time in the second largest Russian city, Saint Petersburg, with the participation of all the hotel groups. The presentation will be attendeds by government city officials, businesspeople, touroperators and airline representatives.

Russia has been increasing its presence in the Cuban market. Over 17 thousand tourists from the eastern European nation visited the island in 2004, number that went up to 20 thousand in 2005. According to forecasts for this year, around 25 thousand visitors from Russia are expected to visit Cuba.
