The Hanoi-based Vietnam-Cuba Friendship Association has proposed the creation of a fund to promote collaboration between the two countries over the next five years.
The initiative was introduced during a meeting in Hanoi. The rector of the Hanoi's University of Architecture Tran Throng Hanh, was appointed president of the 22-member friendship affiliate.
The main goal of the association over the next five years is to promote activities that foster friendship and collaboration -particularly between Hanoi and Havana- through clubs, delegation exchanges, marketing and the set up of joint ventures.
The Vietnam-Cuba Friendship Affiliate will also organize Spanish courses for the Vietnamese people.
