Exceptional cuban journalist Guillermo Cabrera Alvarez dies

Journalist Guillermo Cabrera Alvarez, director of the Jose Marti International Journalism Institute, passed away in this capital of a heart failure, mass media reported Monday.
Cabrera Alvarez, with 45 years of experiences in Cuban journalism, worked as a columnist in "Juventud Rebelde" newspaper, assistant director in "Granma" daily, and edited in "Somos Jovenes" and "La Calle" magazines.
At the moment of his death, the veteran reporter was meeting with readers of his section "La Tecla Ocurrente, published by the Cuban youth daily.
The presidency of the Cuban Journalism Union revealed Sunday a message of sorrow for the passing away of Cabrera Alvarez, who was also a member of the National Committee of this organization.
