Cuba's Construction Minister Fidel Figueroa de la Paz signed a bilateral contract for Cuban construction technical advisers with South African Public Works Minister Angela Thoko Didiza on Wednesday.
The signing of the accord, which reinforces the ties between the two countries, was also attended by South Africa's Ambassador to Cuba Thenjiwe Mtintso.
Minister Didiza, who ends her three-day visit to Cuba tomorrow, said the accord responds to her ministry's efforts to build the infrastructure for the 2010 World Soccer Cup, as well as housing, and voiced her government's satisfaction with Cuba's cooperation in health care.
Cuban Minister Fidel Figueroa de la Paz said the agreement is part of the traditional bilateral friendship and lays the foundation for enhanced cooperation in accord with Cuba's possibilities.
