Cuba is participating with three stands from the Matanzas' Artisans Association at the week-long International Craftwork Fair in Lisbon, Portugal.
The works by popular artisans from the Island have attracted hundreds of Lisbon residents who have praised this visual gift brought from across the Atlantic, said Cuba's Ambassador to Portugal, Jorge Castro Benitez.
He congratulated the Cuban delegation, not only for their enthusiasm and professionalism in their relation with people coming to the fair, but especially for gaining a very outstanding place in the event.
He noted that, along with the exhibit, Cuban artisans are bearing a message of support to the worldwide demand for the US to release the five Cuban anti-terrorist fighters unjustly held in US jails for nearly nine years.
