Vietnam scientists in Cuba

Do Hoai Nam, chairman of the Vietnamese Academy of Social Sciences (VASS), starts in this capital today a program of activities with Cuban scientists, a press source reported.
Hoai Nam, leading his country's delegation, will be welcomed today by Fernando Vecino Alegret, First Deputy Minister of Science, Technology and Environment (CITMA) at the National Capitol.
Also on the list is to lay wreaths at the monument erected to Vietnamese patriot Ho Chi Minh and Cuban Hero Jose Marti, attend deliberations of the Second Workshop on Social Sciences, and visit areas of the historical center off Old Havana, known as World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO.
Hoai Nam, member of Vitenam's Communist Party's Central Committee and deputy to the National Assembly of his nation, presides over since 2003 the VASS, where he has long worked as a researcher.
