Cuban Julio Cesar Herrera gold medal in the speed cycling

Rio De Janeiro, 18 of July - The Cuban Julio César Herrera, current world-wide champion of cycling on the track, confirmed the favoritism and guaranteed the gold medal in the speed test in XV Pan American Games Rio 2007.
In second and third places in the test disputed in the Velodrome ranked the Americans Ben Barczewski and Andy Lakatosh.
In Winnipeg-1999, Julio had conquered bronze in the speed. The Cuban trainer Héctor Ruiz confirmed that after the Games the athlete must finnish his cycling career.
"I was very tired, therefore when I woke up, got a massage and achieved to recover myself. I finished making a good test and I did not feel difficulties", said Julio.
In the feminine competition the gold was with the Colombian Diana García Orrego, with the time of 12s153. The Cuban Lizandra Guerra won the silver medal.
"To compete against Lizandra is always very challenging. She is one of the best of the world and to win was very satisfactory", affirmed the champion.
Bronze was with the Venezuelan Angie Gonzalez.
