Political, governmental authorities in Villa Clara, Cienfuegos and Sancti Spiritus attended welcoming ceremonies for the "caravanistas", who arrived in Havana on July 19 from Mexico.
Previously, the group had gone for two weeks 127 cities in Canada and the US, where they collected 90 tons of humanitarian aid to Cuba, Pastors for Peace's assistant director Ellem Bersttstein told Prensa Latina.
She said that the main objective of their struggle is for the US people to know Cuba's reality, and they have achieved increasing progress in this regard.
We are in Cuba, challenging White House regulations, as in line with the US blockade imposed on the Island, we face a five-year prison sentence and a $20,000 fine, she explained.
