10th International Course on Dengue to be held in Cuba

Experts from several countries are expected to meet in Cuba as of August 6 to debate and share experiences on preventing and controlling dengue, a viral disease affecting thousands of people every year.
Dengue and its hemorrhagic ways: past, present and future, new initiatives to face it, diagnosis strategies, prognosis scores and structures are some of the main issues of the scientific agenda.
The possibility of a vaccine, ailment treatment, risk factors will be also analyzed in the 10th International Course on that pathology, to be run in the Havana's "Pedro Kouri" Tropical Medicine Institute.
Parallel to the event is the Symposium 20 years of experiences fighting dengue in Cuba, as well as the Application Course of Geographic Information Systems in the Prevention and Control of that illness.
