Tínima malt, made by the Cuban brewing company of the same name, is one of the most demanded products on the domestic market.
According to experts, the drink is highly demanded by Cubans, due to its high quality and presentation.
The factory, which is equipped with German technology, can produce 21,000 boxes of malt a day. Tínima's major client, Corporation CIMEX, buys 30,000 boxes a month.
Cubalse and Palmares commercialize 1,000 boxes of malt a month each, accounting for 114 percent of the plan in June.
Due to the steady increase in demand, the company will produce 360,000 boxes of malt this year, 34,000 boxes more than in 2006.
In addition to malt, the firm also produces beer. Exports began in 2000, when 40,000 boxes of Tínima beer were sold in Italy.
At present, Tínima beer is exported to Great Britain, Mexico, Germany, Martinique, Panama, Japan and Spain, and it may also enter the Chinese, Canadian and Dutch markets soon.
