The Cuban delegation will fly to Osaka in three groups, and will complete training in the Spanish city of Alcala de Henares.

Yumisleidis Cumba, Yipsy Moreno, Zulia Calatayud, all with World Championship and Olympic participations and medals, are heading the Cuban female representation, together with runners Virgen Benavides, Roxana Diaz, Yenima Arencibia and Misleydis Lazo.

Daymi Pernia, Indira Garcia, Aime Martinez, Misleidys González, Yenia Ferrales, Yanelis Barrios, Sonia Bicet, Gretchen Quintana, Yunaika Crawford and Arasay Thondike will also participate.

The male representation will be composed of Victor Moya, Yoandry Betanzos, Yargelis Savigne, Dayron Robles, Joel Hernandez, Osniel Tosca, David Giralt, Guillermo Martinez, Yeimar Lopez, William Collazo, Henry Vizcaino, Yordanis Garcia, Alberto Juantorena Cardona and Leonel Suarez.
