Cuba places fifth at Para-Pan American Games

The titles on Wednesday were for Yanelis Silva, in women's table tennis; Erick Manso, in men's table tennis; and Yunidis Castillo, who won the women's 100 meters with a new world record of 12.16 seconds.
The silver medals were for athlete Ernesto Blanco, in men's 800 meters, and for swimmer Adonis Leon in the men's 100-meter butterfly event.
Cuba places fifth in the medal standings with 10 titles, eight silver and a bronze medal. Brazil tops the table with 34 crowns, 29 silver and 36 bronze medals while Canada (27-16-10), Mexico (19-16-17) and United States (12-21-20) place second, third and fourth, respectively.
The third edition of the Para-Pan American Games concludes next Sunday.
