Cuban laureate pianist Frank Fernández to perform in Panama

The internationally awarded Cuban pianist Frank Fernández was invited by the Government of the Republic of Panama to interpret in an special gala show commemorating the 488th anniverary of the aforementioned city.
Considered a piano virtuoso and having achieved more than 200 hundred awards and decorations (orders and medals). Fernández shall interpret Rachmaninov Concert No. 2 with the Symphonic Orchestra of Panama , conducted by maestro Jorge Ledesma.
Born in 1944, in the eastern Cuban city of Mayarí , Fernández has been acknowledged as one of the current five best world pianists.
Since 1966, after having achieved "summa cum laude" shool marks once concluded his piano higher studies in the Tchaikovski Conservatory of Moscow, his career has been constantly rising up, having been praised and acknowledged all over the world,
Among the main landmarks of Frank Fernà ndez` professional career we must remember, to have been the chosen pianist, to commemorate the centeniial of Tchaikovski`s Concert no. 1 in 1988, and to have played it in the same Smétana Hall, in Prague, where just a century ago was premiered by its author.
