Pernik hotel opens an art-gallery room

Pernik hotel room 202 smells pure art. Its the eighth room that the prestigious hotel located in the eastern province of Holguin destines to display the best of the Cuban art. Theyre named after national celebrities of culture like Leo Brouwer, Nelson Domínguez, Esther Borjas, Cosme Proenza and most recently Francisco Javier Suárez, a glass expert.
Francisco is vice"president of the Association of Cuban Artists, who first visited Holguin during the latest Iberoart festivities. Thereafter he started thinking of interior designs for the provinces most important tourist hotel.
In his statements to Cubasí website, he explained he regularly paints at natural scale and then uses templates according to the requirements. The hotel room 202 interior decoration exhibits a nice unicorn, stained glass and vitrals. He worked the Tiffany technique for hours to end during 6 days.
Francisco Javier Suárez is a graduate of the Higher Institute of International Relations Raúl Roa García, has worked glass art for the past 12 years and involved members of his family to set up the SauSand Studio.
The first hotel room turned into an art gallery was opened in 2002 and honoured the painter Eduardo Roca Salazar. Then the room Cosme Proenza was inaugurated on December 31, 2004. There are two dedicated to the writers Roberto Fernández Retamar and Pablo Armando Fernández, one more to the famous musician Leo Brouwer, one to notable vocalists Esther Borjas and Nelson Domínguez.
