Fernando Fernandez, leading FORMATUR professor (School of Higher Studies in Hotel Management and Tourism), told Prensa Latina this will be an excellent opportunity to show the development of the leisure industry in the country.
Fernandez was part of the Cuban delegation to the recently concluded 11th Championship in the Venezuelan city of Barquisimeto last week.
During that edition, organized by the International Barmen Association, for the first time each of the 16 participant countries presented a typical product.
Peru presented its Pisco, Colombia its aniseed-flavored rum and Cuba its combination of Cuban cigars with Havana Club rum. Cuba won in the 10th edition.
