Eliades Ochoa, winner of a 1995 Grammy for the "Buena Vista Social Club," is now recording a new CD in Siboney Studios with different musical trends, among them a Haitian meringue rhythm.
The twelve pieces, some of them composed by Ochoa, are part of the "JIGUE" project (a Cuban tree) and gathers 15 young musicians from Havana and Santiago de Cuba.
This new creative adventure is for World Circuit Recording Company that first recorded "Buena Vista Social Club," and counts with the collaboration of Cuba's EGREM, Recording and Musical Editions enterprise.
Ochoa is one of the most active of the Buena Vista Social Club members, with several recordings and live presentations all over the world.
