The Cuban film " La Edad de la Peseta " ("The Silly Age") screened in the Latin Beat Film Festival, was warmly welcomed by the Japanese audience, according to recent diplomatic sources.
A note by the Cuban Embassy informed that Tokyo and Osaka became the venues of that event.
More than three thousand spectators attended the different projections, which included films from other Ibero American countries.
Alberto Calero, an independent promoter, created the Latin Beat Film Festival since 2004. From that moment it became a way to spread the films from those countries to the Japanese people.
This year 19 countries were represented by 15 long feature fiction films and four documentaries with the collaboration of the Embassies of Spain, Mexico , Argentina , Colombia and Cuba to Japan .
