Cuban film closes Madrid Festival

The organizers of the event at Casa de America in Madrid, have selected eight films that were new for the Spanish audience.
The season will close on Saturday with the production between ICAIC (Cuba), Mediapro (Spain) Alter Productions (Venezuela) and TV Spanish La Edad de la Peseta, in which Mercedes Sampietro, Ivan Carreira and Susana Tejera play the main role.
The action takes place in Havana 1958 and tackles a family problem typical to any country in the world. Premiered in 2005, the film has been awarded several times.
Ana Katz, director and main character of the Argentinean-Spanish film Una Novia Errante (A Roaming Girlfriend) will make her debut on Tuesday and will be followed by El Asaltante (The Attacker) from Argentina, with Pablo Frendrik as director.
