Cuban singer songwriter Silvio Rodriguez will be unable to participate in the concert organized in Venezuela in support of humanitarian exchange in Colombia, informed Cuban ambassador German Sanchez.
Both Silvio Rodriguez and Pablo Milanes, members of La Nueva Trova, have several commitments abroad preventing their participation, Sanchez explained.
The Cuban diplomat told Prensa Latina that the Manzanillo orchestra and a singer, yet to confirm, would represent the Island at the show, that will count on many other Latin American groups.
The event in Caracas, scheduled for October 27, is prior to other activities organized in Río de Janeiro, Buenos Aires, Paris, Bogota and Washington, in support of an exchange of prisoners between the guerrilla and authorities in Colombia.
Colombian senator Piedad Cordoba informed that, at the moment, the representatives of her country are the groups Atercipelado, Guayacan and Yuri Ventura, while Venezuela will be represented by Proyecto A and Lilia Vera.
