In statements to acn news agency, Dr. Edilberto Gonzalez Ochoa, coordinator of the workshop, said the meeting will focus on chronic pulmonary obstructive diseases such as asthma, pneumonia and tuberculosis.

Gonzalez Ochoa will deliver a lecture on the preventive program implemented in Cuba, to avoid the reappearance of tuberculosis, and will also refer to the comprehensive healthcare program carried out throughout island.

Experts from Chile, Belgium and Cuba will discuss the island's experience in the field as a new approach in the treatment of respiratory diseases.
