Cuban Minister of Culture Abel Prieto called the cultural agreement signed with Ecuador at the Third International Book Fair (FILVEN 2007) in Venezuela a valuable working tool.
Ecuadorian Minister of Culture Antonio Preciado said the agreement seeks to take advantage of the rich experience of Cuba in cultural management and all of its cultural system.
On Monday at FILVEN, Cuban poet Cesar Lopez presented his anthology Arpa de troncos vivos. Essayist Enrique Ubieta offered readers Venezuela rebelde and a compilation of interviews from the Crosscurrent Video Library of the Cuban Film Institute ICAIC titled Por la izquierda.
This edition of FILVEN pays tribute to local author Laura Antillano and the great Latin American thinkers Jose Marti and Simon Rodriguez.
