Folkloric Ballet of Camagüey Ends Successful Int'l Tour

The Folkloric Ballet of Camagüey, based in the eastern Cuban province of the same name, concluded a successful tour of 70 Spanish, Portuguese and Egyptian cities.
Members from the company noted that during the eight-month tour, more than 120,000 people attended their performances, which consolidated the group's international prestige.
The company performed in Madrid, Lisbon and Cairo, the capitals of the three countries they visited.
The most successful show was "Solar Son", which combines music, theater and dance.
During last year's international tour, the group performed in Spain and France.
Founded in 1991, the Folkloric Ballet of Camagüey has performed in Mexico, Venezuela, Italy, Martinique and Grenada.
