Cuba and Honduras will boost tourist cooperation, considering the two countries' potential in that major economic sector.
In that regard, Honduran authorities noted that Cuba would train Honduran tourism workers by virtue of an agreement between the two countries.
The accord establishes that instructors from the Cuban Hotel and Tourism School (FORMATUR) will travel to Honduras to train the local staff.
In addition, Honduran companies will send their workers to receive training at FORMATUR facilities in Cuba.
Honduran tourist authorities want to benefit from Cuba's experience to boost the local leisure industry and improve services.
FORMATUR has a network of 16 training schools and 900 instructors throughout the country.
