Cienfuegos, Cuba, Cuban Vice President Carlos Lage extolled in this central southern city that the island cut its fossil fuel consumption in the last three years, noted for high economic growth.
Precisely when the country s economy is growing, diesel consumption fell by seven percent and gasoline by 13 percent, informed Lage after a tour Saturday of Cienfuegos energy facilities.

He checked the state of works at the oil refinery Camilo Cienfuegos, investment by a Cuba-Venezuela joint venture which will begin processing 65 thousand barrels per day in the first stage by the end of next December.
He argued that the energy revolution reaches also other sectors of the economy as transportation, where advances are made to obtain more effective controls as the satellite (GPS) in the main movement of fuel.

Another variant put in place in that field makes the big elaboration centers assume the distribution of their own production, indicated Lage.
