With a large representation of the country's main tourism companies, Cuba opened its stand Saturday at the Tenth International Tourism Fair of Buenos Aires, in Argentina.
Director of Cuba's Office of Information and Tourism Promotion for South America, Mario Ramos said that Cubana de Aviacion will offer five weekly flights between Cuba and Argentina beginning in January 2008.
Ramos noted that the increase of flights corresponds to a 20 percent growth in Argentinean tourism to Cuba in 2007 (between 36,000 and 37,000 vacationers). The Cuban official added Cuba plans to welcome some 40,000 Argentinean visitors in 2008.
