Cuba Cooperation Meeting in Bilbao

The Euskadi-Cuba Association called for friendship organizations and institutions, interested in ties with the Caribbean Island, to attend the second State Meeting of Cooperation with this country.
The meeting is scheduled for December 14-16 in Bilbao, Basque country, and will have an exchange space devoted to boost steady collaboration between the different actors of Cuban cooperation.
A new vision is needed that envisages cooperation as a right and duty derived from equality and equity of inhabitants all over the world, so a cooperation model in line with Millennium objectives is called for, the promoters explained.
They said they also were urging taking a leading role and joint actions with civil society, local communities and national governments.
The main items on the Bilbao agenda will be food sovereignty, sugar re-conversion, environment, ecology and renewable energies.
