President Fidel Castro Ruz and President Hugo Chávez Frías of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela had a warm and fraternal meeting yesterday afternoon, an expression of the deep friendship that unites our peoples and our leaders.
For two and a half hours, Fidel and Chávez discussed the Petrocaribe Summit, which will begin today in Cienfuegos, the reopening in that city of the Camilo Cienfuegos oil refinery, which will benefit Cuba and other Caribbean nations, the fruitful cooperation between Cuba and Venezuela, the upcoming ALBA Summit and the international situation.
