Cuba Helps Venezuela Recover Coastal Areas

A group of Cuban experts are in Venezuela collaborating with the recovery of more than 1,200 kilometers of coast.
Sergio Rodriguez, with Venezuela's Environment Ministry said in Caracas that he was satisfied with the development of the program, and explained that it seeks to recover sites that have environmental
problems.
Rodrigues, who is the director general of environmental planning, said an study of the damaged areas was carried out this year, 2007, in a joint project with Cuba involving some 500 experts.
He said the plans for 2008 have already been discussed in a meeting at which experts made presentations of the developing pilot areas in each region of the country.
