Cuba: Education Moves Forward in Sancti Spiritus

City and countryside children are taught the necessary knowledge and skills by over 9 000 professors who work in this province.
According to Grisel March, head of the educational system in this province, the attendance of students to school is a first concern of the staff since "attending classes is the best way for students to adequately acquire knowledge, which will later on be translated into better learning and promotion to next classes".
The secondary school education, currently submitted to transformations, has incorporated the general integral professor and the 15-student classes. At the end of the present school year, students who pass the ninth grade will be granted the different scholarships according to their overall and integral results.
Over 500 students have already selected the teaching profession, a wise decision taking into consideration their future contribution to the teaching staff of the territory.
