The Vegueros of Pinar del Rio defeated the Gallos of Sancti Spiritus in 10 innings by the score of 7-6 and advance to the final Championship Series which starts on Wednesday.
They will be facing the Avispas of Santiago the Cuba, who are the current champions of Cuban baseball and are the favorites to retain their crown. But do not discount the Pinar del Rio team. They have good pitching and could surprise in the best of seven match up.
