This issue was discussed in a meeting held this past Tuesday in the eastern Cuban province of Holguin to report on the results of studies done by members of the Cuban Federation of Workers (CTC) in that province.
The meeting was presided over Miguel Diaz-Canel, a member of the Political Bureau and first secretary of the party in Holguín; and Salvador Valdez, the national head of the Cuban Federation of Workers.
This need for the Cuban Federation of Workers to continue organizing, representing and leading workers in increasing production and efficiency as a key step in reviving the islands socialist economy was one of the key topics examined during the encounter.
