Among the offers for this year, it mentions the V International Musicology Colloquium organized by the Casa de Las Américas and which closed its doors last week. It also presents the Poor Cinema International Festival, until April 20, in the the city of Gibara, in the eastern province of Holguin, and which is very well accepted all over the world. These is also the CORHABANA 2008 International Choir Festival, which is taking place from April 23 to 27 in several places from the capital and sponsored by the Cuban Music Institute.

The note adds the Romerías de Mayo (May festivities) in the eastern city of Holguin, the International Guitar Festival from Havana, Mayo Teatral, Cubadisco and the Cultural Diversity in the Caribbean International Colloquium as other cultural atractions. The list is completed by the International Audio-Visual Festival for Childhood and Adolescence Festival, all of them to take place between May until the start of June.

The FITCUBA 2008 International Tourism Fair, expected to take place in this city from May 5-9, is to be dedicated to the relationship culture-tourism.
