The right treatment, the employment of materials in a single concept, the interaction, and the excellent making demonstrated in the profesionalism of new speeches that mark the personal concept, characterize those pieces, in which the authors used techniques as the chroming kaolin, the metal, and the terracotta.

Some 40 works competed in this 25th exhibition, with a big participation of young graduates and students from the Academy of Plastic Arts of the province.

In this annual contest the jury decided to give special mentions to the pieces, Sobrecarga, by Camilo Morales Vargas, Paisaje Cubano, by Edelsy Gutiérrez, Morales Vargas, Paisaje Cubano, by Edelsy Gutiérrez, El despertar de una conciencia, by Daniel Corrales Garcés, and Nidos o la voluntad de esperarte, by Israel de la Cruz, due to the technical quality and the topics approached, as the environmental phenomena.

The Exhibition The Plastic Art in April will remain open during one month in the gallery of the Provincial Center of the Plastic arts so that the public of Las Tunas can enjoy the creation of the new generation of local artists.
